The best conversations are over coffee and cigarettes. Preferably on the back porch. Emma and I were talking about how I need to get back in the photography game and quit being a fucking faggot. We were just talking about all these idea’s I had back in the day, but I guess I was too scared to attempt. It has me excited for this summer, and I hope all of my friends are excited to model.
There was one idea I had when I was going back and forth between ‘concentrations’ (pretty much just a series of art work with one central theme) ideas for my AP art class.. Crime Scene Vixen. I wanted models to pose as victims of crime scenes, but still be sexy. But in a classy way. But now I think any kind of death would work. Suicide, murder, accidental, whatever.
Then we got back on to pin up ideas, which is where most of my ideas eventually lead back to, and decided I want to take advantage of my dad being in the military. I want to use the retired planes they have on display on base as part of some shoots. Like some Amelia Earhart type shit.
Needless to say, I just keep getting more and more pumped. And I keep getting more and more idea’s. I’m gonna make this shit happen.
Coheed this evening was phenomenal. My friend and I waited around afterwards in hopes that we’d meet the band. I met Travis, Todd, and Chris<3. No Claudio though. :( Jerks kept bum rushing him. But Chris was a doll, and very polite. He signed my shoe, tickets, gave me a bear hug, and took a picture with me! :) What a wonderful evening.
The quality of this picture was compromised so I could post it. It was originally saved as a .tif file, which tumblr does not support, so I had to re-save it as a .jpeg to post. It’s also significantly smaller than the original.
Anywho, this was my first attempt at photography with models my senior year. The story of this is, pretty much, just her celebrating with cute pictures in a photo booth post-war. I have an obsession with classic beauty/the 40’s&50’s, so all of my ‘model work’ is pin-upy. And I just so happen to have a best friend with classic good looks. This is my favorite, and I’m always so proud to share it with people.
I really need to quit being scared. Nothing makes me happier than doing stuff like this. This summer I WILL do more pin up pictures. No more excuses.
This polar bear gave her cub a lift as she swam across the fjord, shaking herself dry after emerging from the water with her cub hanging on.
Polar bear cubs have been known to occasionally ride on the backs of their mothers as they swim together in Arctic waters, possibly to reduce exposure to cold.
